Description of the article « USB-C Wall Charger with Hidden Bluetooth Tracker »
The USB-C wall charger with hidden Bluetooth tracker places a miniature location module inside an ordinary-looking mains accessory. Carry it in a work bag, suitcase or equipment case to retain a location reference for the container it accompanies.
The module remains concealed inside the charger. Its battery allows tracking when the charger is unplugged, so its location role does not depend on keeping it in a wall socket. It locates the charger itself, rather than each object placed alongside it.
The stated battery life is up to 3 months without recharging for the location function alone. Actual duration depends on use and conditions. This is not a claim that the USB-C output can charge a phone for 3 months without mains electricity.
The location principle follows the collaborative Bluetooth operation of the Nano-FR01 miniature tracker. The charger module uses its own internal battery for operation off mains. Monitor its charge so an apparently available map does not conceal an interruption of power.
The tracker uses Bluetooth Low Energy and a collaborative network of compatible nearby devices. A compatible device passing close to the module can detect its signal and allow a location to be reported in FindTag. You can then view the available data over the Internet, even when your own phone is outside the tracker's Bluetooth range.
Busy areas generally offer more opportunities for detection. In an isolated place, or without a compatible device passing nearby, the displayed location may remain unchanged. Refreshing the app does not force the module to be detected.
The map shows the last available detection. A pin on the map does not confirm that the item is still there at the moment you check it. Always read the date and time before acting on a location. The history contains recorded detections; it cannot reconstruct movements during periods without detections.
Pair and manage the module in FindTag for iOS and Android, then consult the last known location, the recorded history and the battery level. No SIM card or location subscription is required in the module. Your viewing phone needs an Internet connection.
iPhone and Android compatibility refers to the management app. It does not mean that every nearby phone relays the signal. The operation described uses the FindTag-compatible network and does not promise native pairing with Apple Find My or Google Find Hub.
The product is described as a 220 V mains charger with a USB-C connection. The connector alone does not establish its wattage, charging profiles or support for USB Power Delivery. Check the electrical markings on the supplied model and the requirements of the equipment to be charged before use.
The locator's autonomy and the charger's mains charging function are separate points. Do not interpret the internal tracking battery as a stated power bank function for phones.
Use tracking only for your own belongings or equipment whose tracking is authorised. Compare other arrangements in our trackers for objects selection.
| Strengths | Limitations to consider |
|---|---|
| Module concealed in a familiar mains accessory | Visual discretion does not guarantee radio undetectability. |
| Internal battery for tracking when unplugged | The stated autonomy applies to location only. |
| Up to 3 months of stated tracker battery life | Actual duration varies with use and conditions. |
| No SIM or location subscription | Updates require detections by compatible nearby devices. |
| FindTag for iPhone and Android | No guaranteed continuous tracking or update delay. |
Yes. The module has an internal battery with stated battery life of up to 3 months without recharging. Actual duration varies with use and conditions.
Only Bluetooth tracking using the internal battery. They do not describe USB-C charging autonomy for phones or other devices.
The module emits a low-power Bluetooth signal. A compatible nearby device can detect it and allow a position to reach FindTag. Your phone consults available data over the Internet.
No. The described location function needs no SIM or subscription. The phone used to consult available data needs Internet access.
Management uses FindTag for iOS and Android. This does not mean all nearby phones relay the signal, or that the module pairs directly with Apple Find My or Google Find Hub.
No. Updates depend on compatible detections. If no device detects the charger, the app may retain an earlier location. Always check its date and time.
The USB-C connector alone does not establish charging power or protocols. Check the electrical markings on the model and your equipment's requirements; no wattage or Power Delivery compatibility is claimed here.
It shows available locations of the charger itself. While it stays in a bag or suitcase, it can help you look for that container. An item separated from the charger no longer accompanies this tracker.
